Bingo has been around for years, centuries even. In its most basic form, conclusions have been drawn between it and a mid-16th century lottery game known as Lo Giuoco del Lotto d扞talia. It was around 200 years later, however, that the game evolved into something similar to what we see today.
But it wasn’t until the 1940s that Bingo managed to reach stellar heights. It became a worldwide hit, with Bingo halls popping up everywhere. Countries began to create their own unique variations, and there are still several that are played now. Today, there are two widely popular versions of the game that are played all over the world: US Bingo, and UK Bingo (also known as Non-US Bingo). Read the full post

Bingo history started way back in 1530, “Lo Giuoco del Lotto D’Italina” was an Italian lottery which up until the present day is still being played in Italy every Saturday.
It was in the late 1770’s that it was introduced to France. “Le Lotto” was its name in France. This is a game that only the wealthy Frenchmen were allowed to play. In the 1800’s, Germans played their own version of Bingo, however, they used the game as a tool to help students in Germany to learn their spelling, math and history. Read the full post

The origins of contemporary bingo go back to 16th century Italy, where the lottery game Lo Giuoco del Lotto dItalia was introduced. The popular chance game was introduced to North America in the late 1920s by the name of Beano. A toy salesperson of New York was responsible for changing the name of the game into Bingo and to the increase of its popularity throughout the US.
In the late 18th century, the original Italian lotto game made its way to France. Historical evidence shows that a game called Le Lotto was popular among the French high society who used to play the game in parties and social gatherings. Read the full post

Bingo may seem like a relatively new invention, but the origins of the game date from the 16th century. We can extend as far back as 1530, an Italian lottery called “Lo Giuoco del Lotto D’Italia, “the latest and every Saturday in Italy, this game is still played today. Two hundred years, the game was subsequently introduced to the French in the 1770s and called” Le Lotto”. The game has actually played by wealthy French right now. Read the full post
